Produce to Plate is currently operated by the Sorace family.

Maurice Sorace heads to the markets daily to make sure they offer a wide range of fresh and high quality Australian made seasonal produce, to support the local farmers. The team personally deliver fruit and vegetables seven days a week to wholesale clients Sydney wide, and to homes in the Sutherland Shire. 

Today Maurice, Peter and Joe are what you would call the ‘dream team’. Peter overlooks the logistics and operations side of the business. And while Peter is on the phone both taking and delivering orders daily, Joe packs and personally deliver the produce to the customers (who are like their extended family).

Italian-born Australian Maurice Sorace (Father of Peter Sorace) has been in the fruit and vegetable industry for over 40 years.

With the assistance of  his Italian heritage, 25 years ago Maurice decided to use his knowledge and years of industry experience in fresh produce to establish his own business with Sutherland Best Fresh. Over the years the Sorace family successfully owned multiple stores across the Sutherland Shire region.

Sutherland Best Fresh continues to operate as an on-location mini market and a local wholesale delivery service throughout the Sutherland Shire.

With an overwhelming demand in wholesale deliveries, in 2019, Peter established a separate business entity for delivery services with Produce to Plate.

Produce to Plate proudly supplies premium, fresh and high quality local Australian fruit and vegetables to wholesale businesses across Sydney. They offer wholesale businesses a large range of quality produce at fair prices, and personalised same day delivery.

Today their wholesale client list spans to restaurants, pubs, cafes, schools, childcare centres, function & event venues, local councils, daycare centres, corporate offices, government corporations, RSL clubs and more. 

Due to the high level of enquiries for the delivery of fruit and vegetables to homes in the local community, in 2020 Produce to Plate decided to offer their range of delicious produce to residence in the Sutherland Shire.

This decision came from the strong belief that, especially today, fresh quality produce is a vital nutritional component to everyone’s daily diet. Produce to Plate delivers carefully selected fresh and Australian grown fruit and vegetables straight to the door.
